9. my dear friend lora asked us if elizabeth could be the flower girl in their wedding...how sweet is that. i haven't told libs yet because i know she is going to be SO excited...she'll probably ask every ten minutes from when she finds out until the moment of the wedding..."is it today?" "do i marry 'uncle keif' today?" (apparently i should wait to tell her until right before i coerce her (oops....i mean she walks) down the aisle)
10. a few moments of outdoor fun. with vbs and some super steamy weather we haven't been outside too much lately, but we did catch some swingset time saturday morning. and then i caught these shots of the girls enjoying the sunshine while i grilled some hotdogs (okay...so i feel like i mention us eating hotdogs a lot...we aren't hotdog obsessed...really...in fact, until last summer i had kind of sworn off hotdogs forever...and then i met them...kosher beef hotdogs...and the love affair began).
11. one final bonus smile...in honor of kate's rapidly approaching first birthday. gators galore! seriously, i am on the hunt for alligator paraphenalia...and our stash of gator gear is adding up. just last week i discovered Gater Tots (you really should stop by...such cute stuff) and i might have been sucked into buying a gater t-shirt for the birthday girl. then i found alligator squirters at the dollar tree...and i told elizabeth she could pick out a tube of wrapping paper at the dollar tree...what does she select (on her first try too!)...wrapping paper with alligators (well, and monkey and lions and tigers...but the gators are there too!). let me tell you...i'm going to have to take lots of pictures of this gator party so that someday kate will know we did it!

Oh my word, you could totally sell those dresses...and I'd be your first customer. ADORABLE. And that material...it's two of my favorite colors together. Good job!
oh my goodness...such wonderful smiles. the girls are adorable. i love libs' curls. and kate's smiles. oh so cute! those dresses you made are SO CUTE! i love that pattern! you seriously make me want to make clothes for my girls. i just might have to in the near future. and how fun that libs' is into crafting now! oh how i hope my girls (or at least one of my children) is into that, too! so glad the castle fiasco was taken care of! i'm so glad you were able to have some time with your sister. i know how important and great that is! ooh and that watermelon looks delicious! i want to make a trip to the farmer's market this weekend to see what i can find. and what a great hubby you have! so glad you are blessed with him! this is getting really long...just one more thing to add...the girls and i will be flying out to cali on aug 30, and jonathan will drive out the truck w/car a couple weeks later...so that's the moving timeline. thank you!!
ps...can't wait to see pics of kate's bday party and all the fun gator stuff you found!
Hey Amanda! I seriously would love to buy one...I wasn't kidding. :) However...as my last post indicated, we are having to sort of buckle down financially...there isn't a huge surplus right now, so I'm gonna have to wait. :) I'm sorry! And I don't expect you to hold on to the material for me (even though I LOVE it! :)). But when things turn around I will be in touch...and you really should open your little shop! For real!
The Gator party sounds like such fun! I was talking to Erika today and she is doing a mixed party for the girls with a Tinkerbell theme. She found a crazy amount of stuff online for pretty cheap to go with the theme.
The outfits are amazing by the way, they look absolutely adorable!!
Ohh, the first trip to the farmers market is always my favorite!!
and the dresses are adorable, almost as cute as your girls!!
and time with your sister, just the two of you is always a reason to smile!!
and how on earth did a year almost pass, Kate can't be that old....
Amanda- I love the dresses. Absolutely adorable!!!
I am, again, in awe of your crafting!! I loved the pink dresses you made - these are just as amazing, if not even prettier!! LOVE THEM! Wishing I had a girl to put one on. :) I am crazy about those shoes as well!
I just love the Tuesday smiles! I am late at blog visiting, but loving the smiles for Friday.
Aren't handy husbands the best? I swear Dave knows how to do every thing with car repair, home repair, etc... :) It amazes me! So glad you know the joys of that too!
Beautiful pictures! I love the girls matching dresses. Sometimes I wish I had a little girl to dress up. My little one keeps destroying the train set his brother puts up. So I understand about King Kong Jr.
