it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

okay...silly me...i shot these with my camera and had it flipped vertically. oops! you'll just have to cock your head sideways! but you get the idea, right!? mike came home from work yesterday and decided getting our tree up was a lovely idea...we did the setting up and stringing lights last night. i was also quite excited to set up my willow tree nativity...and this year it found a home on two shelves...a wee bit higher than kate's curious little hands (not to mention i went a bit organizing crazy yesterday and turned the game chest (where i used to set up my nativity) into a toy box--the toys without homes were driving me CRAZY! considering the chest will get much more opening and closing these days i don't think it is the best place for fragiles. then, once the girls were in bed mike and i had a tender moment as we hung the willow tree ornament we picked up in remembrance of the baby we lost in october...and then tonight the girls helped us deck it out with the rest of the ornaments and garland. how precious to go through each and every ornament, sharing memories of each of the past four Christmases...hard to believe that on our first Christmas five years ago we had just the few ornaments we bought together to adorn the trees limbs. and now here we are...two precious daughters....a pile of memories and togetherness....and a relationship that has grown so much deeper through the trials and joys of life. i promise more pictures soon, but for now i wanted to share these videos and a pic of our special remembrance ornament. praying you all are enjoying these first few days of december...drawing to our Savior and enjoying some precious moments with your families.

our willow tree nativity...mike's parents gave me the wise men for our early Christmas...completing the set! :)

a precious reminder of our sweet baby...what precious joy and comfort to know that this Christmas our baby is safely in the arms of Jesus...

Amanda! I knew your girls were absolutely adorable, but this just proves it even more. I am so glad you posted videos. :) I love their little voices and getting to hear yours too. :)
Your Christmas decorating is beautiful! My Willow Tree nativity is one of my favorite Christmas decorations as well. I just have the basic set, and a couple of years ago Dave made me a stable. :)
I love the idea you guys had about buying an ornament to recognize the baby. I think that would be a sweet thing to do and I may find some time in my Christmas shopping today to find something like that for us. :)

First of all, I have done that same thing with the camera being sideways a ridiculous amount of times...oh when will I learn? The videos are precious though! Particularly Kate saying, "Hi!" just touched my heart. Oh, how I remember how Lilla used to do that and it would just warm me up! Such a tender and sweet memory to me.

Isn't it fun to look back over the years and see how things have changed and grown in life and marriage? We buy special ornaments every year and it is always such a joy to pull each one out and remember when, Our First Christmas together, Bride to Be, New Home, Parent's to Be, Baby's First Christmas...on and on and I love it! I still need to find some special ornaments for this year to celebrate our joys from this year too. Love it!

Oh, and my sister has that nativity too which she loves!

The videos of the girls are most adorable...loved getting to hear your sweet, happy voices...so much so!

Things are looking and sounding merrry and bright at your house during this most wonderful time of the year.

And I think the ornament in honor of your dear littl angel baby is such a precious, beautiful rememberance.
