amen, elizabeth...amen...

this morning on the way to our MOPS meeting elizabeth was completely enthralled with using the word incredible. being close to costco was "incredible", stopping by daddy's office to pick something up was "incredible"...even the proximity of daddy's office to costco was "incredible". here is a snippet of our conversation. its theology 101 from the mouth of a 3 1/2 year old....

mommy: "elizabeth, what else is incredible?"

elizabeth: "well, my swingset is incredible and my breakfast too." (she was munching on a baggy of maple and brown sugar life cereal)

mommy: "is mommy incredible?" (disclaimer, i know...i know...i was soliciting something to feed my ego, i suppose)

elizabeth: "no."

mommy: silent and slightly deflated. but nonetheless, after pondering for a moment elizabeth comes up with this VERY profound statement.

elizabeth: "mommy, you're not incredible. but God makes you incredible...and mugho and kate and daddy too. God makes us incredible."

amen, elizabeth....amen!

Out of the mouth of Babes. Teary eyed me. I cannot imagine how you held it together.
That is truly beautiful.
Just remind her that we are "fearfully and wonderfully made". :)
Hugs!
